At Gifted Professionals and Communicators (GPC), we believe artificial intelligence can help us question more deeply, explore ideas more broadly and work more effectively. It is a powerful tool, but it is not a substitute for human curiosity, judgment, creativity or connection.
Our community exists to help gifted professionals better understand themselves, contribute their unique thinking and learn from one another. AI has a role to play in that journey, but people remain at the centre of everything we do.
These principles guide how we use AI within our community.
Human thinking comes first
We use AI to support human thinking, not replace it.
AI can help us explore ideas, identify patterns, improve clarity and reduce repetitive tasks. It cannot replace the insight, discernment and lived experience that people bring to meaningful conversations and decisions.
We remain accountable
We are responsible for the work we create, whether AI has assisted us or not.
AI can generate suggestions, but it cannot take responsibility for our decisions, advice or actions. We apply critical thinking, verify information where appropriate and exercise professional judgment at all times.
We value originality over efficiency
Our goal is not to produce more content. Our goal is to develop better thinking.
We encourage members to use AI to challenge assumptions, broaden perspectives and strengthen their ideas, while ensuring their own voice, experience and originality remain at the centre of their work.
We are transparent
When AI has made a meaningful contribution to content, ideas or resources, we believe in being open about how it has been used.
Transparency builds trust and encourages thoughtful conversations about the appropriate role of AI in our work and our community.
We protect privacy and confidentiality
We respect the privacy of individuals and organisations.
Confidential, personal or commercially sensitive information should never be entered into AI platforms without appropriate permission or safeguards. Responsible AI begins with responsible handling of information.
We use AI ethically
We expect AI to be used in ways that reflect the values of our community.
We do not support the use of AI to deceive, misrepresent authorship, manipulate others, infringe intellectual property or create harmful or misleading content.
We embrace continuous learning
Artificial intelligence is evolving rapidly, and so are we.
We are committed to learning, experimenting responsibly and reviewing these principles as technology, research and community expectations continue to evolve.

Technology can accelerate ideas, but it cannot replace the curiosity, wisdom and collective intelligence that emerge when gifted people learn, question and grow together.
